“The Wonders of Water”
Located in the heart of the Chihuahuan Desert, the City of El Paso constructed the first inland desalination plant in order to provide water to its residents for hundreds of years to come.
Adjacent to the plant is the TecH2O Center, a technologically advanced interactive learning museum for visitors to discover the history of the desert region, the importance of water conservation, and the water management challenges and techniques that enable the residents of El Paso to survive in this arid climate.
The Roybal Corporation designed and fabricated exhibits interpreting ground and surface water, as well as the resource management challenges of waste water and reclaimed water. Exhibit topics also included the Chihuahuan Desert habitat, the history of the El Paso region, and xeriscape landscaping.
