Commuter Airlines have been an important extension of airline services to western slope tourism.  United Airlines and Continental airlines offer connecting flights from Stapleton International Airport to a number of western slope airports serving major ski areas.  The purpose of this project was to design the new commuter airline facility to service these western slope flights.  The Commuter Airlines Facility is a $7 million facility that provides service to prop driven commuter aircraft that service the western slope of Colorado.  The Commuter Airline Facility contains hold rooms, toilet facilities, operational space, podiums, baggage handling facilities, and security screening.  An automobile drop-off and turn-around area also supply the air carrier facility with added convenience.
